How Long Does It Take for Your Table to Get to Your Home?
A custom dining table is a great way to make sure the dining table suits your space. It’s especially great if you’re going to have the table a long time, and any solid wood dining table (like any Loewen Design table) should last a long time. But they are built to order, which means that they aren’t ready for you today. But they can be pretty quickly. Let’s look at how long it takes to make the dining table for you before it gets shipped.
At Loewen Design Studios, we build nearly every table to order, but we do have a couple pieces in stock at any time. If you’re in a hurry, those might be able to help you out. Because you’re in a hurry, I’ll talk to you first. Anything in stock just needs to be finished and packed up, so it can be ready in as little as a week, if it needs to be cut a little smaller this is about the same time. That being said, we usually have 4-6 weeks of work in the shop, which we usually try to work through in order. But if you’re in a hurry let us know, we can try and work something out to speed up your order.
For built to order and custom dining tables the process is 1 step longer than for any stock. The tables need to get made, they get cut to the right size and shape and glued together, this usually means that at a minimum an extra week of work in needed, sometimes 2. Again, the biggest factor is that we typically work through in order, so the sooner you order the sooner you get it. With anywhere from 4-6 weeks of work usually on the go, it’ll be about that long to get your table shipped to you. If you need it faster, let us know, it may or may not be possible but we can talk about it!
There are some things that slow down the process a bit, some edges and some shapes are best done with a CNC machine. These tables take more time, how long depends on so many things that I won’t promise anything. But if you have any questions about this reach out to us!
Custom steel colors can also slow down the process a little if we don’t have the right shape legs in stock, we get them powder coated, so we can’t always speed that part up, but we do have most things in stock! Again, if you’re in a hurry, just reach out to us first!
All in all, most every table will get out of here in 4-6 weeks. We think this is pretty fast, it’s a table you’ll have for the rest of your life so it’s probably worth waiting a week to make sure it’s perfect.
