Classic maple dining tables let the mill sawn texture of the wood be the feature of the table. These tables instead have a square edge or a bevelled edge. Our maple typically features darker sections where the ambrosia beetle used to live. The wood has obviously been fully kiln dried so that the only traces of the beetles are these tracks they’ve made in the wood. With lighter color stain, these striations are celebrated or you can minimize their appearance with a darker stain.
