I can't even with this beautiful table! The details weren't apparent in the shop photos, but in person the table is super high quality. Everything is perfectly finished: like the subtle mitered corners in the close up photo. The design is simple but they really pay attention to details. Worth the wait. We got the walnut extension in natural with 2 leaves.

The studio created a custom black walnut table for us, and we purchased our own pedestal base from Etsy. The final look is incomparable to any table I've purchased. The wood is silky smooth. I find myself constantly touching it because the feel and look are stunning. You can tell the tabletop was crafted with loving care, and the team was really supportive in helping me select the base and provide guidance to the manufacturer to properly design it to accomodate the wooden top. They even helped me attach my custom base to the top, with utmost care and precision. We're obsessed! Can't recommend them enough.

The last piece of our recent remodel was to find a table that would fit in our newly created kitchen nook. I first saw the table design - racetrack oval with a Jarvis pedestal base - when I was scrolling through Etsy, and it was just what I was looking for. Ted and Sharon were so responsive and helpful with all my questions throughout the process, and we absolutely love the final product! The wood (blackened walnut) is just gorgeous and the table fits perfectly into our nook. The personalized delivery service was wonderful too! We look forward to many years of family gatherings and grandkids around this table!

The live-edge table from Loewen Design Studios will be a statement piece in my house for many years. It is beautiful, functional, sturdy and original. The service was fatnastic with great communication and transparency. It was also wonderful to know that I was supporting a local Canadian business. I will be recommending this company and hope to have an opportunity to purchase from them again in the future!

I requested a custom table and light fixture and the result is exactly as I had hoped. Love the room so much and get compliments all the time. The table is so smooth and soft, and the quality is excellent. It was delivered an assembled in a very timely fashion. Would highly recommend!

We are so pleased with our very handsome Loewen table, handcrafted of maple in a bourbon stain with black steel A-legs! Because we were able to customize the size (42" wide - this width is not common in retail stores! and 72" long plus two 18-inch end-extensions) it is perfect for both daily meals for just my husband and me, and special gatherings with our extended family. Delivery was flawless: Brian and Lyn expertly put it together for us. Many, many thanks to Ted and his team at Loewen Design Studios!

Our experience with Loewen has been excellent! It was really easy to look at all of the options on the website. After placing our order, we were kept in the loop on the process, everything explained clearly. When it was delivered, Lynn & Brian were so great. They were quick, so friendly, and answered all of our questions. And the table is gorgeous! Love the color, the grain in the wood, it feels like silk. We are so happy!

This is a beautiful table. It's solid and sturdy. The wood grains going across are beautiful and the finish is really nice. The legs are unique feature that I love and set it apart from other tables. We had ours custom made with two extensions so it can be made smaller or larger according to our needs. I was nervous buying online without seeing the table in person first, but it exceeding my expectations!

After months of looking at retail tables that we were never sure were "real wood" and always the wrong size for our Brooklyn apartment, we started to explore the idea of having a custom table made for us. We started looking around Etsy and found Loewen Design Studios, and were really impressed with what we saw. I don't know much about anything when it comes to furniture terminology, but we were able to use one of their existing models as a starting point and then sent them images to give an idea of how we wanted it to look. After a bit of back and forth they said they were able to make us a table for the price within our budget, including delivery. It was so cool how the table arrived, delivered via trailer by friends of the family that made it who were on a road trip across America delivering hand made furniture. We love the table, it's easily the nicest piece of furniture we've ever purchased. It's also great to know that unlike retail tables we can always sand it down one day to make it just like new, but perhaps we won't want to.

I cannot say enough positive things about this incredible company. We are head over heels for our table. My husband just keeps staring at it :). The table is beautiful, quality, made exactly how we wanted and even better than we imagined. We had a vision for what we were looking for that is at the center of our family... where we eat our meals, play our games, entertain family and friends, etc... and this table is the perfect place to do so. The staff here are OUTSTANDING. They are incredibly responsive - answering emails in a timely manner with excellent responses and eager to work well with the customer. They answered all of my questions and helped me plan for what we were looking for. When it came time for delivery - the entire process was 5 stars plus. They communicated often, gave a perfect window of time, continued to update and communicate along the way and then when they arrived they were incredibly kind, professional and did a great job. I would recommend this company to anyone and we feel so lucky that we found them.

A photo is worth a million words. This table is absolutely stunning. If you're on the fence about purchasing a table without seeing it first, it's understandable. Our table is higher quality and more stunning than tables we saw in 'high end' furniture stores and a better price. Go for it!

I am so happy with my 96” table. I was looking for a table that was unique and simple but had a lot of character. The walnut is beautiful and the metal legs add just the right amount of modern edge to the table. The process was very easy and they stayed in constant contact with me by email during the process. It can be stressful ordering something that you have never seen but you will not be disappointed. I am excited to have this table for many years and appreciate the great customer service from this company.

We have been enjoying our 60" round table for 7 months now and love it! This is our only kitchen table and we have used it with and without coasters and placemats over the months and have not noticed any scratches. It cleans up well with just a quick wipe down. It is absolutely beautiful and perfectly completes our space.

We absolutely love the table Ted and his son made for us! We wanted a very long unique wood table (132 in x 26 in) and Ted worked with us diligently to make sure we got exactly what we wanted. Everyone was extremely communicative and emails were answered in a timely fashion - I never felt like I was bothering anyone even with simple questions. The table only took a few weeks to make and then was hand delivered by Ted himself! The table is a beautiful work of art that we will use for years and years - we are more than happy with how it turned out. We can’t say enough nice things, I highly recommend!!
