The studio created a custom black walnut table for us, and we purchased our own pedestal base from Etsy. The final look is incomparable to any table I've purchased. The wood is silky smooth. I find myself constantly touching it because the feel and look are stunning. You can tell the tabletop was crafted with loving care, and the team was really supportive in helping me select the base and provide guidance to the manufacturer to properly design it to accomodate the wooden top. They even helped me attach my custom base to the top, with utmost care and precision. We're obsessed! Can't recommend them enough.

The last piece of our recent remodel was to find a table that would fit in our newly created kitchen nook. I first saw the table design - racetrack oval with a Jarvis pedestal base - when I was scrolling through Etsy, and it was just what I was looking for. Ted and Sharon were so responsive and helpful with all my questions throughout the process, and we absolutely love the final product! The wood (blackened walnut) is just gorgeous and the table fits perfectly into our nook. The personalized delivery service was wonderful too! We look forward to many years of family gatherings and grandkids around this table!

The live-edge table from Loewen Design Studios will be a statement piece in my house for many years. It is beautiful, functional, sturdy and original. The service was fatnastic with great communication and transparency. It was also wonderful to know that I was supporting a local Canadian business. The table is beautiful! We got the Jarvis white ash oval pedestal table, and it has such an elegant color and form. I had a lot of trouble finding an oval table that didn't look circa 1980s, and this gem has clean contemporary lines and looks timeless. The entire process was smooth and the delivery was excellent. We were under construction at the time and the delivery team was so accommodating, helping us move it to a safe place in our basement until we could set it up, and made sure we had all the supplies we needed - normally they set everything up for you. This group obviously takes a lot of pride in their work and it really does show. Highly recommend!

This was one of the best decisions I have took a chance on. It seemed surreal a couple people would drive my custom table down to Mississippi all the way from Canada. But that’s indeed what happened. They were friendly, helpful, and communicative. I even had to have a last minute change and they made it happen! It is stunning and I get many compliments.

We are so pleased with our very handsome Loewen table, handcrafted of maple in a bourbon stain with black steel A-legs! Because we were able to customize the size (42" wide - this width is not common in retail stores! and 72" long plus two 18-inch end-extensions) it is perfect for both daily meals for just my husband and me, and special gatherings with our extended family. Our experience with Loewen has been excellent! It was really easy to look at all of the options on the website. After placing our order, we were kept in the loop on the process, everything explained clearly. When it was delivered, Lynn & Brian were so great. They were quick, so friendly, and answered all of our questions. And the table is gorgeous! Love the color, the grain in the wood, it feels like silk. We are so happy!

This is a beautiful table. It's solid and sturdy. The wood grains going across are beautiful and the finish is really nice. The legs are unique feature that I love and set it apart from other tables. We had ours custom made with two extensions so it can be made smaller or larger according to our needs. I was nervous buying online without seeing the table in person first, but it exceeding my expectations!
