Walnut Dining Table with Rounded Corners
We built this dining room table with rounded corners for a customer and loved the design! The rounded corners are certainly safer than the traditional square corners; they also give the table a different aesthetic. They give the table a bit of a mid century modern feel.
We built the table top out of 6/4 walnut planks that we finished with an all-natural oil to highlight the beauty of the natural walnut. This oil bonds with the wood fibres to create, once cured, a durable matte finish.
The legs of this table were steel angle legs that we powder coated black, again for a very durable finish.
This particular table was 40" x 80" and is shown with 6 chairs, though it can easily accommodate 8 people.
