We build all of our tables using solid hardwood to ensure that your table will stand up to the wear and tear of life.
Each bookmatch live edge table is a unique, one-of-a-kind piece. For a bookmatch table, 2 sister slabs of live edge wood are laid up side by side and any gaps are filled with epoxy. The beauty of each table comes from the gaps and the imperfections that highlight the fact that they are made with real wood from real trees.
Because the two slabs were beside each other, they are close to mirror images of each other. The knots and details of the live edge create balance in the two sides of the table. Live edge tables, including bookmatch tables, are most commonly made with walnut, but can also be made with some other solid hardwoods.
