Description
A square pedestal table is a great piece to anchor your dining room, especially one with bold detailing. Our Glenbow square pedestal table fits the bill. Square tables facilitate conversation as people can all see each other. And they are a little unusual which makes them a great design statement. This particular square table is part of our Glenbow collection which features fluted pedestal bases. The square pedestal base on this table mirrors the shape of the top and allows space for guests' legs. The detailing on the base and the square shape make this a show stopper of a dining table.
With pedestal dining tables, the trick is to get the size of the pedestal right. You want enough clearance from the edge of the table to the base for chairs and for guests. At the same time, you want the table overall to be stable. While adding weight to a smaller base can help provide stability, getting the proportions right is the key. We recommend this Como base for tables that are at least 42" wide. Also note that the corners of the base will be slightly rounded. Also note that the corners on this base will be slightly rounded. Other design details include a 6/4" thick table top with a traditional square Seymour edge.

All of our tables are made from solid hardwood. As a natural product, each piece of wood has its own uniqueness.
- Natural wood has variation in the grain.
- Solid wood will expand and contract in different climates
- Most of our walnut has sap wood, which introduces some variance in color into the wood

Delivery
Getting your table to you safely is part of our commitment to you. You’ve made the investment in high quality hardwood furniture and we’ve taken the time to build and finish it just for you.
A full description of how we can deliver your table is available here. Essentially we can ship to you via freight carrier, with a white glove service, or with our delivery van & trailer. Which options are available for your table will depend on where you live and how quickly you need it and if you can help with delivery and assembly.
It’s worth noting that shipping, duties and tariffs are included in the prices we quote. Each situation is really quite unique so we would be happy to chat about what delivery can look like for you, based on your table, your location, and your schedule.
Whichever delivery option you choose, you will receive a table built specifically for you. We will build, finish and pack your table which takes 5-7 weeks. After that we arrange for shipping. If you need your table sooner, we may be able to expedite production or the shipping. In this case, reach out to us and we’re happy to chat about what the options could be.

Josh’s Comments on The Glenbow Square
So my dad and I spent a year trying to sort out how to build this base so it was sturdy, fit under any table, and was quite simply the most beautiful base possible. We built a lot of bases. We loved some, we hated some. Some were almost perfect except for one detail. Now, this base, the Como base, is it. We're not changing the design anymore. It's sturdy. It can be made even more sturdy with a little extra weight. It can be a racetrack, a rectangle, a square, a circle, a squoval, a hexagon, an ellipse, it could be a triangle if that's what you wanted. It can split and go under an extension table. (That's the Yoho collection, also great.) And each stick is its own piece of wood, so you get to see all the natural beauty of the wood.

Glenbow Square Fun Facts With Josh
I really mean that. The conversation is really good. Everyone can see each other, and everyone will be close enough to hear each other. No one needs to raise their voice. It's one of the best environments for a conversation. There is no 'head' of the table. Everyone will be equal. Everyone will be comfortable. A square isn't the most common table shape, but that has much more to do with there being less spaces that can accommodate a square than a square not being a great option. Square tables, if you have the space for them, are brilliant places for dinner, for games, and for conversation.
