- A comfortable height for most people to sit at.
- People with longer legs may want a table without a skirt or a slightly taller table
- If all the people using the table are shorter there may be a reason to make the table shorter
What is dining table height?
Dining tables are generally about 30” tall as this is a comfortable height for most people to sit at. Chairs are usually designed with this height in mind. A shorter table may be appropriate if the people using it are all on the shorter side. Similarly taller people may prefer a taller table. You may also find that people with longer legs are happier with a table that doesn’t have a skirt as the skirt reduces the space between the chairs and the table.
