Description
Bridging farmhouse and traditional styles, the Martin extendable trestle table is a great choice for your kitchen or dining room. The trestle base grounds the table and also provides storage for the two expansion leaves. Depending on the chairs you pair it with, this table can lean into traditional styles or into farmhouse styles.
This table is a center extension table, which means that there is a split in the middle of the table where it pulls apart with the help of a gear mechanism. You can add one or both of the leaves here. With center extension tables, the grain always runs widthwise. This particular extendable table provides the option of storing the leaves in the table with the 15" wide leaves. With an extendable trestle table, the trestle will not move when you add the leaves.
As a trestle table, there is lots of space available under the table for legs - both chair legs and people legs. This makes it a great table to pair with a bench or with a banquette. Other design details include a 6/4" thick table top with a traditional square edge with rounded corners - we call it a Boyer edge.

All of our tables are made from solid hardwood. As a natural product, each piece of wood has its own uniqueness.
- Natural wood has variation in the grain.
- Solid wood will expand and contract in different climates
- Most of our walnut has sap wood, which introduces some variance in color into the wood

Delivery
Getting your table to you safely is part of our commitment to you. You’ve made the investment in high quality hardwood furniture and we’ve taken the time to build and finish it just for you.
A full description of how we can deliver your table is available here. Essentially we can ship to you via freight carrier, with a white glove service, or with our delivery van & trailer. Which options are available for your table will depend on where you live and how quickly you need it and if you can help with delivery and assembly.
It’s worth noting that shipping, duties and tariffs are included in the prices we quote. Each situation is really quite unique so we would be happy to chat about what delivery can look like for you, based on your table, your location, and your schedule.
Whichever delivery option you choose, you will receive a table built specifically for you. We will build, finish and pack your table which takes 5-7 weeks. After that we arrange for shipping. If you need your table sooner, we may be able to expedite production or the shipping. In this case, reach out to us and we’re happy to chat about what the options could be.

I like this table because it blends styles so well. It has a bit of a traditional vibe that says I've been here forever and yet it also can have a modern look. In addition, the trestle base gives you the flexibility for seating like a pedestal base does while leaning into the sturdiness of solid legs. With no legs to get in the way, a trestle base lets you squeeze people in wherever there's room, including the corners. For me, this makes this design very welcoming.

It only makes sense that a table that says "there's always room for one more‚" would be extendable. With this table the leaves are added in the center of the table. There is space to store the leaves in the table making it easy to quickly make room for a few more.
