The Picard base is a steel version of a Parsons base.
What is it?
A picard base is a steel parsons base. It includes a 2” skirt that is inset slightly under the table and corner post legs. It is made from 2”x2” steel tube and 2”x1” steel tube which provides strength without adding undue weight. It includes adjustable feet that help with leveling the table. The specific size of the base is determined by the top it is paired with. This base is available for square and rectangle tables.
Can I customize it?
Yes, you can customize the leg to suit your table. We can make this leg in custom heights and custom widths. We also have it available in 8 colors: satin black, gunmetal, silver, satin white, burnt penny, bronze, nickel, and gold.
How does it work with seating?
The picard base is similar to the primrose in that it has steel corner posts. And because the posts are in the corners of the table, they do not interfere with chairs or with how guests are seated. The one thing to keep in mind is that with a skirt extending 2” below the table, the space between the chair and the table top is therefore a bit smaller than with other legs.
