Exploring The Various Extension Tables We Offer
At Loewen Design Studios we love making extension tables, they're flexible and always the size you need. We have 3 different styles, each one suits different needs. They are End Extensions, Center Extensions, and Center Geared Extensions
End Extensions
End Extension tables were the first tables we designed at Loewen Design Studios. They do not have a centre seam and are one continuous piece. This makes them more visually appealing when the extensions are not installed.

The table extensions can be easily installed by one person. The table also doesn’t have to be moved to install the extensions.
Centre Extensions
Center extensions are a classic extension table design that slides open in the middle allowing for extra leaves. The grain runs across the table not along the length of the table. The table moves to allow for the extensions which allows a flexible number of extensions to be added.

The extensions hide well in the center as the grain all runs the same direction. The center extensions look good with just one extension and can be more flexible in length. The table legs do need to move to be able to add extensions.
Centre Geared Extensions
Center Geared Extensions are a premium on our classic extension table design that slides open in the middle allowing for extra leaves. The grain runs across the table not along the length of the table. The extensions also blend in with the table as it has the same grain pattern.

The legs on the table do not need to move when leaves are installed. The leaves can also be stored in the table. The table can be opened by one person and leaves installed by one person.

So how which kind of extension table is best for you depends on how will be using it. End extensions are typically best if you usually need a standard size, but on special occasions you need a much larger table. Center are best if you want a really flexible table that can be any size, or if you'll often have extensions in.
