"We needed to replace our old and abused, saggy and tilting ping pong table. The internet-search rabbit-hole led us to Loewen Design Studios, and that is where we found our perfect table! Or in our case, tables plural. We chose the split table option since it was going in the basement with several tight turns. The grain of the two tables actually matches up if you put the correct ends together, so the table was cut from one big piece - very nice attention to detail, there! The tables are very high quality - so nice that we can take one (or both) of the tables upstairs and extend our dining table seating for the holidays. Everyone has been impressed by the stunning beauty of this table. It plays a wicked game of ping pong too. Even the sound of the ball bouncing off the solid wood is a joy. Highly recommend!"

Description
Elevate your games room with a solid wood Carson ping pong table. This 2 piece table is a regulation size ping pong table with the stripe created by using contrasting woods. The two tables can also be used separately to host games night with friends or making a puzzle. With this table you are all set for fun evenings with friends.
A custom wood ping pong table has to stand up to regular play and this one certainly can. The Parsons style base includes the corner post legs with the skirt. This structure provides strength and stability. The other consideration is that this is made up of two tables, and a ping pong ball bouncing at the seam could bounce in an unexpected way. Because this seam is directly under the net, play is not affected and provides the option of using the two tables separately. Other design details include a 6/4" thick table top with a traditional square Seymour edge.

All of our tables are made from solid hardwood. As a natural product, each piece of wood has its own uniqueness.
- Natural wood has variation in the grain.
- Solid wood will expand and contract in different climates
- Most of our walnut has sap wood, which introduces some variance in color into the wood

Sizing
Delivery
Getting your table to you safely is part of our commitment to you. You’ve made the investment in high quality hardwood furniture and we’ve taken the time to build and finish it just for you.
Once your table has cured and is ready to go, there are several ways that we can get it to you. Where you live is a big factor in which options are available for your delivery.
The first way we can ship is with a freight carrier. With this option we will pack your table up in 2-3 boxes. The carrier will make an appointment with you and bring it to your driveway. You will need to bring the table in and assemble it. Typically you will receive your table within 2 weeks of shipping.
The second option is a white glove delivery service. This option is available in most metro areas of the US. With white glove delivery we blanket wrap your table and send it to our partner in North Carolina who then forwards it through their system. Once it arrives in the last mile hub they will make an appointment. Two people will bring your table to your home, set it up and take the packing materials away. With our white glove partner you will usually receive your table within 2-4 weeks of shipping.
The final delivery option we offer is to deliver your table ourselves. Where possible this is our preferred option as it gives us the opportunity to meet you and reduces the number of hands involved in getting it to you. Currently we deliver to the Northeast US and Southern Ontario. We are working on adding additional destinations. With this delivery option we schedule appointments for our van and driver on a route through multiple states. This means that we need to work together to work with your schedules and ours. Depending on the size of your table, our driver may need help to bring the table in and to flip it over. With our own deliveries, you will usually receive your table within 2-4 weeks of when it is finished.
As a general note, shipping is included in the prices we quote. Each situation is really quite unique so we would be happy to chat about what delivery can look like for you, based on your table, your location, and your schedule.
Whichever delivery option you choose, you will receive a table built specifically for you. We will build, finish and pack your table which takes 5-7 weeks. After that we arrange for shipping. If you need your table sooner, we may be able to expedite production or the shipping. In this case, reach out to us and we’re happy to chat about what the options could be.

Josh’s Comments on The Carson Ping Pong
My dad thought this was a great idea before I did. I was a bit nervous before I saw the first one. Now I knew it would be beautiful, no doubt about that. A walnut table with a maple stripe. It couldn't be anything but beautiful. But I was nervous about playing ping pong on it. I couldn't tell you exactly why I was nervous, everything seemed to be in order, but nonetheless, I was nervous. Thankfully, my dad talked me into it, and once we had one done, that nervousness disappeared. I'm no professional ping pong player, but this felt like any other ping pong game I had ever played. It was excellent, and it was beautiful. We had a great time. Took the rest of the day off and just played ping pong. I love building these tables.

One day someone asked if we would make them their ping pong table in 2 pieces. This way they could use it as a smaller table when not in ping pong use. I must say if I had space for a ping pong table, this is the way I would do it. Now I absolutely understand the desire for both versions. The full table is gorgeous, and plays wonderfully. Personally I think the split table offers so much flexibility. The size of the table you're left with is a great shape for dining, or especially for games. I think this table built this way offers so much to a room. Either way the table plays great, it really depends on how you want to use the space.
