Spring is a time for new beginnings and looking at your space with new eyes. Not sure where to start? Here are a few ideas!

Bring Nature In
You can go about this a few ways but at its core, this means adding some fresh-ness to your home. Especially after a cold winter and staying warm indoors, it’s nice to let some of the outside back into your space. It could be as simple as opening the windows to let some air in (bonus points if you have a yard or have a nice, natural view)! Other options include buying or picking some fresh flowers to display in your kitchen, or looking into home decor that reflects some of the greenery and liveliness of the season. Perhaps something built of all-natural materials?
Declutter
Take stock of what hasn’t been used in a while and set aside anything that the kids (or adults) grew out of last year. Old clothes, decor, and other home goods that don’t suit you anymore are great for giving away or donating.
Re-Organize
Maybe there are a few holiday gifts that still haven’t found a permanent place in your home, or hosting made you realize what should be easier to access - things like the good cutlery. In my house, our bookshelves and media console need a refresh every few months. It also might be time to change up your storage system if your current one just isn’t working! All of our hardwood furniture is built to order so if you’ve got thoughts on a new and personalized cabinet or media console, let us know.

Switch Up Your Style
While we’re talking about new furniture, maybe a fresh coat of paint is in order. Tons of paint and design companies have announced their Colors of the Year before Spring, so there’s a ton of inspiration out there. Our hardwood tables and furniture come in a wide array of colors, so don’t hesitate to reach out - we’d love to help with your project!
Take A Break
The holidays are a lot! Hosting, cooking, cleaning… it takes a toll, even if we enjoy it in the moment! Take a few minutes to bring your home back to a calmer state: take down the Christmas decorations if they’re a little too bright, put away the leaves from your extension table so it’s a little less crowded, and take a day for yourself so you feel a little less busy. You deserve it.
