Choosing the right chair for your dining room is an important task. You want a chair that suits the style of your home. And you want a chair that works with your table - either matching or complementary. And it needs to be comfortable to sit in so you can enjoy dinner and maybe a coffee or glass of wine and more conversation. All of these questions matter.
Taking a look at our 4 styles of dining chairs, there are 2 chair styles that fit into pretty specific design aesthetics and 2 that are more versatile.
Eaton Chairs
Our Eaton chairs are inspired by the midcentury modern elbow chair. They feature a curved back and are available with and without spindles. This low back chair is really pretty and has a lot of style. It pairs well with midcentury modern inspired tables like the Waterton or the Pinette.
Foss Chairs
For more of a farmhouse style, our Foss chairs are a good choice. They have a classic bent hoop back. While they can be made of any of our hardwoods, the maple in particular highlights the farmhouse style of the chairs. Here you can see them paired with a Yoho round table in natural maple.
Betzner Chairs
The tall, slated back of the Betzner chairs gives this design a shaker vibe that works well in traditional style dining rooms. This chair is comfortable to sit in for longer periods of time with the full back support. Our Betzner chairs work well with traditional tables such as the Voyager, the Martin and the Carson.
Aubrey Chairs
Our Aubrey chairs are popular because they are very versatile. The low back gives them a modern look while also allowing them to blend into a wide variety of design styles. We often see them paired with Murray or Fundy tables, though they sit well with most of our table styles. They also are very comfortable for enjoying a conversation over dinner.
The question of which style of chair works best for you depends on the style of your home. If you would like to chat about chairs, our design team would be happy to help you figure out which style would best suit your table.
