Live Edge Rectangle
The edge of the table has the bark removed and is sanded smooth, but maintains the shape of the tree that grew. It presents the nature of the tree very clearly.
This is a great flexible shape, it offers lots of space on the table top, while the rounding makes it easier to move around. It’s a great shape for a table in a high traffic area.
This is a classic shape that offers a lot of usable space. Whether it be for putting down groceries, playing a board game, or an extra seat, rectangles are very practical.

Live Edge Bookmatch tables are beautiful one of a kind tables. They are made with two 10/4 thick 'sister slabs' (meaning that these slices were side by side on the tree) of wood that are laid up beside each other. This is what gives these tables their symmetrical balanced look because knots on one side are mirrored on the other. The wave of the live edge on one side is reflected on the other side.
These tables are a great way to bring nature into your home. The knots and imperfections are reminders of the life the tree lived before it became your table and make each table unique.
Our Live Edge Bookmatch tables are paired with our Alta legs. These wood legs have elegant lines that complement the table top. They will be made out of the same hardwood as the top. Our live edge tops can be made with Walnut, Oak, Maple and Ash.

Getting your table to you safely is part of our commitment to you. You’ve made the investment in high quality hardwood furniture and we’ve taken the time to build and finish it just for you.
A full description of how we can deliver your table is available here. Essentially we can ship to you via freight carrier, with a white glove service, or with our delivery van & trailer. Which options are available for your table will depend on where you live and how quickly you need it and if you can help with delivery and assembly.
It’s worth noting that shipping, duties and tariffs are included in the prices we quote. Each situation is really quite unique so we would be happy to chat about what delivery can look like for you, based on your table, your location, and your schedule.
Whichever delivery option you choose, you will receive a table built specifically for you. We will build, finish and pack your table which takes 5-7 weeks. After that we arrange for shipping. If you need your table sooner, we may be able to expedite production or the shipping. In this case, reach out to us and we’re happy to chat about what the options could be.
This shouldn’t be a surprise, but I really like trees. I’m not sure that’s why I got into working with wood. That one might be my grandfather's fault, but I have always loved trees. To climb, to look at, to sit in the shade of, trees are great. I love our bookmatch tables, the Algonquin collection, because they’re so much tree. Every table we make is solid hardwood, but these are special. The wood is all from the same tree, and it’s real. You can see the life the tree lived, you can see the imperfections in it. The nature comes along in the table. That’s why I have a bookmatch table.
The Alta legs is a design that we really fell in love with since we first put them together. They show off a lot of wood, while staying nicely out of the way of chairs and legs. The bookmatch tops felt like a perfect pairing, showing off beautiful thick wood on top and below. The curve lets chairs slide overtop while still making the table solid. The functionality is great, and the looks are great. They’re made with the same thick wood as the table top, with the same wonderful character. Really an excellent pair.
