Square Extension
All the benefits of a rectangle without the leaves, an end extension functions exactly as a normal table, then a leaf can be added at either end. These leaves can vary in size but will typically add one place setting each to each side. The grain on the end extension leaves runs across the table, opposite the main table creating a breadboard look.
All the benefits of a square when not extended. The table splits in the middle and leaves can be added in, turning it into a rectangle shape. By default we suggest adding 2 leaves, to add about 2 place settings on either side. More leaves can be added, but we’ll want to talk about it!
This is a classic shape that offers a lot of usable space. Whether it be for putting down groceries, playing a board game, or an extra seat, rectangles are very practical.

Smaller spaces can still be great spaces for entertaining, especially with the Fundy square extendable table. The base part of the table is a square that is typically sized to seat 4. This is a great everyday size. The two leaves add to the center of the table, making room for up to 4 more people. This wood table is a great fit for modern spaces. Its beveled edge and chevon style Caldwell legs make it visually light in a space.
This table is a center extension table which means that there is a split in the middle of the table where it pulls apart. You can add one or both of the leaves here. With center extension tables, the grain always runs widthwise.

Getting your table to you safely is part of our commitment to you. You’ve made the investment in high quality hardwood furniture and we’ve taken the time to build and finish it just for you.
A full description of how we can deliver your table is available here. Essentially we can ship to you via freight carrier, with a white glove service, or with our delivery van & trailer. Which options are available for your table will depend on where you live and how quickly you need it and if you can help with delivery and assembly.
It’s worth noting that shipping, duties and tariffs are included in the prices we quote. Each situation is really quite unique so we would be happy to chat about what delivery can look like for you, based on your table, your location, and your schedule.
Whichever delivery option you choose, you will receive a table built specifically for you. We will build, finish and pack your table which takes 5-7 weeks. After that we arrange for shipping. If you need your table sooner, we may be able to expedite production or the shipping. In this case, reach out to us and we’re happy to chat about what the options could be.
The whole Fundy collection is a great style. It's one of the ones we've been doing the longest. It was one of my favorites the first day we made it, and it still is today. The Caldwell legs are really sturdy, really pretty, and let you place chairs just about anywhere around the table. They blend form and function nicely. Those legs paired with the Finlay edge is a combination that were meant for each other. The angles pair so well together on the bevel, the corner, and every part of the leg. And on a square table there's so much space for everything you need. It's light and subtle, and yet garners the attention it deserves.
So the Fundy square extension table does not need to be small. The style works just fine at most sizes. (very big you’ll want extra legs, but it still works) That said, I just feel like it works so well small. A small square table is an excellent space for conversation, and will still have room for meals. And as an extension table, when you need more space you quickly have it available. It can, and will, fit into whatever space or style you have, and give you the table space you're looking for, no matter how much or little space you need. It's what I love about this table, it works big, and it works small.
