Nakina Edge

Hamelin Edge Picture

Quick Points

  • Softening/rounding lightly the top edge
  • 1” larger bevel on the bottom edge at a 45 degree angle.
  • 3” radius on corners
  • Easy to use, and a very pretty edge

What is it?

Wood dining tables with a Nakina edge have rounded corners. On the sides and ends, the top edge is slightly rounded and the bottom edge has a 1” bevel at a 45 degree angle. There is a 3" radius around the corner

Why do I want it?

The appeal of the Nakina edge is that there are no sharp edges or corners which makes it comfortable to sit at and also easy to walk around.  The Nakina edge softens the look and feel of the table and is very pretty.

Where does it suit?

Nakina edge is a great choice for rectangular dining tables and for coffee tables. Because the desired effect is to create a lighter looking piece, it is usually applied to tops made with 6/4 thick planks rather than 8/4.
