A trestle base consists of legs at each end of the table joined together by stringer.
A trestle base typically consists of a leg or a pair of legs at each end of the table joined together by stringer. This type of base is inset from the sides and ends of the table, allowing space for people to comfortably sit at the table. The trestle is not simply decorative - it also gives the table a little extra stability. Trestle bases pair well with larger tables.

The Powell base features farmhouse style legs joined by a rustic metal turnbuckle.
